Denver Dragons Tournament 1-2-10

Sorry for the late update! It's taking me some time to get back into the new wrestling schedule. The Denver Dragons tournament was the first tournament of the 2010 season. Robbie wrestled well at the tournament but did not have his endurance built back up. He pinned the boys quickly in the first two matches. This gave him his confidence back from being rusty over the football season. In the third match, the boy was a bit more challenging but "we" thought Robbie was the better wrestler. Robbie got caught in one bad spot and the other boy pinned Robbie. It was a disappointment but that's wrestling. He then wrestled one more time and as my dad says it, he cleaned his clock. I think Robbie's frustrations were taken out on his opponent. Needless to say, Robbie pinned him in seconds. Robbie took home a medal for 3rd place from this tournament. It was also nice to have the support of his grandparents there. Gary, Wanda, Freda and Mackey were all there. Also a family friend, Paul Haynes came for part of the tournament. Its always nice to have spectators especially for me to have to talk to during the wait between matches. We also ended the day with a fish fry at our house so it was a good day of family fun! Diane
